Who can join your ESL and Computer classes?
A
Permanent Residents of Canada, Convention Refugees, Refugee Claimants and naturalized Canadian Citizens not born in Canada may apply to take our ESL classes. Applicants must also be 18 years of age or over, reside in Ontario and provide proof of residency.

What courses do you offer?
A
We offer English as a Second Language (ESL), IELTS, LINC, and skills classes such as Computers, Sewing, etc.

When does the next term start?
A
The Fall 2024 term for English as a Second Language (ESL), IELTS, Sewing and Computer classes starts on September 03, 2024. Please call the school at 613-594-5773 for the latest information.

How do I register for a class?
A

If you are a new student or you have not been a student in our system in the last 12 months you can complete a language assessment by contacting the Ottawa Y-Language Assessment and Referral Centre (Y-LARC). If you do so please advise the assessor that you wish to study at St. Patrick's Adult School. Bring your assessment documents with you when you come to school.

Do I need a visa to come to Canada?

Visa requirements vary from country to country. For information about your visa requirements please visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website.

Do you have Summer classes?

Currently, our next Summer session is scheduled to start in July 2025.

Do you have Evening or Weekend classes?
A

Do you make arrangements for homestay?

No. You must make your own arrangements.

Do you have daycare for my children?
A
Childminding is not currently available.

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at St. Patrick's Adult School during the regular school year (September to June) include all levels of ESL and IELTS.

Computer Courses at St. Patrick's Adult School during the regular school year (September to June) are in-person and include MS Office, Google Apps and Introduction to Computers.

Sewing Classes at St. Patrick's Adult School during the regular school year (September to June) are in-person.
